Entries open for the 2018 Bristol Grand Prix

Our exciting and challenging city-centre race will this year host round two of the HSBC UK | Grand Prix Series on 8 July 2018, bringing with it some of the UK and Europe’s best domestic professional teams.

Entries are now up on the British Cycling website – riders and teams are encouraged to book their place early to avoid missing out. 

The provisional schedule for 8 July is:

  • 8.00am Men’s (3/4)
  • 8.55am  2018 Women’s Bristol Grand Prix (E/1/2/3)
  • 9.50am  Sponsor relay
  • 10.30am  2018 Bristol Grand Prix (E/1/2)
  • 2.00pm  HSBC UK ‘Let’s Ride Bristol’ public bike ride

The day will start with races on a new version of our city centre criterium circuit for Category 3 and 4 men, the 2018 Women’s Bristol Grand Prix and the Sponsor Relay.

The circuit will then be extended for the HSBC UK | Grand Prix Series race, covering a large part of Bristol City centre, giving spectators lots opportunities to enjoy the race from iconic Bristol locations.

Once racing is complete the circuit will be open for riders of all ages and abilities a chance to ride the traffic free roads of the city centre in the HSBC UK Let’s Ride public participation ride. Entries are free, and you can sign-up here »

“The 2018 Bristol Grand Prix will be an amazing event that brings professional circuit racing to our city. Becoming part of the HSBC UK | Grand Prix Series is a reflection of the support, commitment and love for cycling that makes Bristol so special. 
We want our local riders and clubs to take this chance to line up alongside some of the UK’s biggest and best pro teams and make the 2018 Bristol Grand Prix a huge success.”
We can’t wait to see Olympians and Elite racers competing on the streets of Bristol and then give everyone a chance to ride the closed roads of the city centre with the HSBC UK Let’s Ride.”

The Bristol Grand Prix is part of the HSBC UK | Grand Prix Series. There are five races that take part across the UK this summer. The full schedule is:

Round 1 - Tour of the Reservoir  ·  23 - 24 June
Round 2 - Bristol Grand Prix  · 8 July
Round 3 - Stockton Grand Prix  · 15 July
Round 4 - Leicester Castle Classic  · 12 August
Round 5 - Ryedale Grand Prix  · 26 August

All races, including the Bristol GP, will be televised on Eurosport.
